Here are some helpful tips to ensure your smoke alarms are always in working order, in case of an emergency:
-Smoke alarms should be replaced 10 years after the manufacture date on the back
-If your smoke alarm has replaceable batteries, they should be replaced at least once a year
-Test your smoke alarms at least once a month
-Make sure you dust off your smoke alarm regularly, as buildup could make it malfunction
