For the past 9 weeks, the Gates Fire District has been hosting the “Monroe County Recruit Training Program” This 13 week program is a collaboration of several career fire departments in the county, plus 2 from Ontario County, to provide the initial training to newly hired career firefighters. Certified fire instructors from the recruits fire departments have been instructing in all aspects of firefighting. These include engine company operations, truck company operations, vehicle accident extrication, and rope rescue, and physical fitness. This week, the recruits completed their “Live Fire” evolutions. Keep up the good work recruits!

Gates, Brighton, Henrietta
Greece Departments: Barnard, North Greece, Ridge Road
Irondequoit Departments: Laurelton, Ridge Culver, St Paul
