The Gates-Chili Fire Department Summer Camp was held July 11-15. The camp had a full roster. A Good time was had by all. The children had an opportunity to watch an extrication drill up close, and visit the Rochester Airport Fire Department. They were trained to do CPR and earned a certificate. They also visited our fire stations to talk with the career firefighters and experience what they do in a day’s time. Their last day, the Gates-Chili Fire Department had a lunch for the participants, and their parents. The parents were able to see what they did all week through a slideshow presentation of over 500 pictures taken during the event. As part of the fun, there was a water competition and a chance to get their teacher a little wet.. (and he was soaked!)
Thanks for attending, and we look forward to next years event!
-Jack Haley, President of the Gates-Chili Fire Department
