Yesterday, Group 1 companies had a busy shift taking 29 total calls for service including an MVA with a person ejected and 2 working fires.
At 04:03pm, companies were called to WB RT 490 at RT 531 for the motor vehicle accident, vehicle into the ditch with a person ejected. Upon arrival, Quint 4530 found a single vehicle rollover with heavy damage and a confirmed person ejected. Crews worked quickly to provide care to the patients serious injuries and assisted Gates Volunteer Ambulance Service during transport.

At 10:54pm, companies were called to Eugene Street for the report of an apartment on fire. Engine 4562 arrived on scene within 3 minutes and found fire on the second floor which was quickly extinguished. The fire was placed under control at 11:15 pm, 20 minutes after initial dispatch.

At 01:11am, companies responded to Ann Marie Drive for the reported house on fire with people trapped. Engine 4562 arrived on scene in 5 minutes and reported heavy fire showing from the rear of the home. Primary searches concluded negative results for occupants however 2 dogs were removed from the home, unfortunately one dog has succumbed to its injuries. The fire was placed under control at 02:00am. One civilian was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Both fires are currently under investigation by the Monroe County Fire Bureau.
