HEADLINE: High Wind Warning issued October 31 at 6:36AM EDT until November 01 at 1:00PM EDT by NWS Buffalo
DESCRIPTION: …HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO
1 PM EDT FRIDAY…
* WHAT…Southwest to west winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts of 60 to
65 mph expected.
* WHERE…Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming,
Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus counties.
* WHEN…From 8 PM this evening to 1 PM EDT Friday.
* IMPACTS…Damaging winds will bring down numerous trees and
power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will
be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
INSTRUCTIONS: People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.
