The Gates Fire District announced today that their Public Protection Classification (PPC) has improved to a protection Class 3 from the previous rating of Class 4.
The Insurance Services Office (ISO) conducted an evaluation of the Gates Fire District’s fire suppression capabilities back in the Fall of 2014. ISO’s Public Protection Classification program plays an important role in the underwriting process at insurance companies. In fact, most U.S. insurers, including the largest ones, use the PPC information as part of their decision making process when deciding what business to insure, coverage’s to offer or prices to charge for personal or commercial property fire insurance.
