Press Release:

Rochester Mayor-elect Robert Duffy will give the keynote address at the dedication of the new

Gates Fire District Station No. 3 on Saturday, November 19th, 2005 at 11am.

We are honored that Mayor-elect Duffy will be joining us.  His attendance is an important signal of his

desire to further improve city-county public safety cooperation.  The Gates Fire District has been

working for many years to foster regional collaborations among the neighboring suburban fire departments,

City of Rochester fire department and emergency medical agencies throughout Monroe County.

 

In addition to Mayor-elect Duffy, speakers at the dedication will include;

James Harrington, Fire Chief

David Stone, President Gates-Chili Fire Department

Thomas Tette, Fire Commissioner

The ceremonial ribbon will be cut by:

Nancy Stott, President Ladies' Auxiliary

Music will be provided by the Gates Keystone Club Police Band under the command of

Pipe Major James VanBrederode.  Also in attendance will be the Monroe County Mounted Patrol

under the command of Deputy James Godshall.

The new station was designed by LeChase Design and Construction Services,

with Douglas Richards, Jr of LeChase as Project Manager

and built by LeFrois Builders.
