The Gates-Chili Exempt Firemen, Inc. was incorporated March 24, 1938.  Appearing before the Justice of the Peace were Erle T.  French, Leonard T. Link, Henry C. Schroth, Joseph Schofield, and John Lighthouse.

This building pictured is the original exempts club.  This building was purchased in 1953.  The exempts purchased the building for $50.  The building was later sold and now is the site of the Party House.

This is the Certificate of Debt for the purchase of the building.
