Welcome to the Gates Fire District Website!

This site includes information pertaining to the Gates Fire District and Gates Chili Fire Department, in Rochester NY. The Gates Fire District is a combination fire department that has three fire stations that serve more than 19.9 square miles comprised of all of the Town of Gates and a part of the Town of Chili. We border the west side of the City of Rochester and protect a population of roughly 32,000 people. Our district is heavily developed and contains large industrial complexes, including the Rochester Technology Park, refineries and oil storage, schools, nursing homes, rail lines and more miles of expressway than any other fire district in Monroe County. Our district also surrounds the Greater Rochester International Airport and borders both the Genesee River and the Erie Canal.
