Dick Wachtman.......Fire Commissioner, Firefighter, Friend & Father

 

 

We are saddened by the passing of Dick Wachtman

but blessed by having known him

 

Dick joined the Fire Department in 1973

He has served in many capacities...

including Lieutenant, Captain and Assistant Chief of Company No. 3

past member of the Board of Directors of the Gates Chili Fire Department

current Fire Commissioner on the Board of Commissioners of the Gates Fire District

Dick was still listed as an Active Volunteer Firefighter.

 

The major renovation and construction of Station No. 3 was a project close to his heart...

it took a long time but this dream did become a reality!
