The Board of Fire Commissioners of the Gates
Fire District, comprising all of the Town of Gates and a portion of
the Town of Chili in Monroe County, New York State, hereby proposes
that the proposed sum of $3,926,842 is to be raised by tax on the
real property in the Fire District of said County in its next tax
levy for the Towns of Gates and Chili, in accordance with the
following budget, adopted by the Commission for the operation of the
District in the fiscal year 2008.
This budget reflects improvements to and
maintenance of facilities, vehicles and equipment required for fire
protection, personnel costs associated with 24 hour dispatching and
fire and emergency services, bond interest and principal payments,
and other costs associated with operating the Gates Fire District.

Plus – money due the Chili Volunteer Ambulance Service, Inc. for the furnishing of
ambulance service in that portion of the Town of Chili where fire
protection is provided by the Gates Fire District, per agreement
with the Chili Fire Dept., Inc. and pursuant to statutory authority
entitled Chapter 949 of the laws of 1965, enacted by the State
Legislature and authorized by resolution of the Gates Fire District
Commission on the 16th day of February, 1966…….
